Story & Significance
Vishnu, one of the principal deities in Hinduism, is revered as the preserver and protector of the universe. His spiritual significance lies in his role of maintaining dharma (righteousness), ensuring cosmic order, and providing salvation or liberation (moksha) to his devotees. Vishnu’s connection to Tulsi wood is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology. Tulsi, also known as the holy basil, is considered the earthly manifestation of the goddess Lakshmi, who is Vishnu’s consort. It is believed that Tulsi wood embodies purity and divinity, and wearing Tulsi beads is said to connect the wearer to Vishnu, promoting spiritual growth, protection, and well-being. Furthermore, it is traditionally used in prayer beads (japa mala) for meditation and recitation of mantras dedicated to Vishnu, enhancing the spiritual benefits. In essence, the sacred bond between Vishnu and Tulsi wood symbolizes divine love, devotion, and spiritual enlightenment.
