The Sanskrit mantra ‘Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu’ holds profound spiritual significance in the realm of meditation and yoga. Translated, it means “May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.” This mantra embodies the spirit of selfless service and universal love, promoting a sense of unity and compassion towards all living beings. It is often recited at the end of yoga classes or meditation sessions, serving as a reminder to extend the peace and tranquility experienced during the practice outwards to benefit all creatures. This is more than a chant; it’s a call to action, an aspiration to live a life that contributes to the happiness and freedom of others.
